This Privacy Policy describes how LexDiary ("we", "our", or "the app") handles information when you use the LexDiary mobile application on Android and iOS.

1. Information We Collect

LexDiary is designed with privacy in mind. The app stores the following types of data only on your device (local storage):

• Profile information (name, firm name, email, bar ID, specialization)
• Case details (titles, court names, hearing dates, client contacts, notes)
• Fee and expense records linked to your cases
• Document and evidence metadata (file names, types, upload dates) and references to files you attach
• Task lists and deadlines
• App settings (e.g. dark mode, notification preferences)

We do not collect, transmit, or store your data on our servers. All information remains on your phone or tablet. We do not share your data with anyone—no advertisers, no partners, no third parties.

2. How We Use Your Information

Data stored in the app is used only to:

• Display and manage your cases, documents, fees, and tasks within the app
• Remember your preferences (e.g. theme, settings)

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone. Your data is never sent to our servers or to any third party.

3. Your Control: Delete All Data

You have full control over your data. You can delete everything stored by the app at any time:

• Open the side menu (tap the menu icon in the top-left of the app).
• Scroll down and tap "Delete All Records".
• Confirm when prompted. This will remove all your cases, fees, documents, tasks, and reset app data.

After you delete all records, your data is removed from the app. We do not keep any copy of your data—it exists only on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.

4. Device Permissions

LexDiary may request access to the following, depending on the features you use:

• Camera – To capture photos of documents and evidence for your cases
• Photo Library / Storage – To attach existing photos and files to cases and save evidence

You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings. The app will continue to work with reduced functionality where a permission is denied.

5. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored locally on your device. We do not transmit or back up your data to our own servers. You are responsible for backing up your device if you want to preserve your data. If you uninstall the app or clear app data, this information will be deleted from the device.

6. Children's Privacy

LexDiary is intended for use by legal professionals and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data through the app, please contact us and we will help address the situation.

7. Third-Party Services

Your use of the app may be subject to the terms and privacy policies of:

• Google Play (Android) – for downloading and updating the app
• Apple App Store (iOS) – for downloading and updating the app

We do not control these platforms. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for how they handle your information.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised when changes are made. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For significant changes, we may notify you in the app or via the store listing.
